Fair Trade Certified Coffee

Happy October!

Yesterday morning I was pleasantly surprised to see my BzzAgent Certified Fair Trade Coffee from Green Mountain Coffee had arrived.



I immediately went straight to my Keurig coffee maker and made me a hot cup. I am quite satisfied with this coffee. It is very smooth and tasty. I drink my coffee black with a little bit of sweetener because I like the taste of coffee. This is one tasty cup!

But on top of it being a great cup of coffee it is Fair Trade Certified. I am starting to learn about fair trade and it's benefits. From Green Mountains Coffee website:

"Fair Trade certification gives farmers a fair price for their beans with a guaranteed minimum, which means they can invest in their crops, their communities, and their future. Fair Trade also lets Green Mountain Coffee® and farmers work closely together to bring the best tasting coffee to market."

So by drinking Fair Trade I am helping farmers. It feels good that I can still indulge in a coffee knowing that I am helping someone out.

I also noticed that Green Mountain has a bunch of  flavors. =) I am so going to get the pumpkin spice flavor!

September Glossy Box Review

Happy Fall Everyone!! =)

Yesterday, I received my September Glossy Box. I just love getting packages in the mail. I signed up with Glossy Box at the end of August so they sent out the box at the end September. That's why I got it in October. So I still need to get my October box which I'll most likely get at the end of the month.

This month's box is awesome! I really love everything in it!

 I really did receive products that ROCK and that I will definitely be using.

September's GlossyBox contains 5 beauty products and 4 of them are FULL SIZE!!!

The only product that is not full size is the BCBGMAXAZRIA - Bon Genre Eau De Parfum. It is a small spray bottle but the full size retails for $75 for a 3.4oz. It smells delicious with a little bit of sweetness and flowers. However, it is not too overwhelming and the smell gets better as the day goes on.

Next in the box is a full size BE A BOMBSHELL - Eyeliner Pen in Onyx. This is an easy to use eyeliner pen that is long lasting and water resistant. Perfect as I hate doing the cat eye because I always mess up. This retails for $14.00.

By EMITE MAKEUP - Eyelash Curler with three extra pads for the curler. It has a special curved design, designed to not ruin your makeup underneath. I don't ever use eyelash curlers but now that I received this one I will be trying it out. The curved design does make it easy because it doesn't touch your face. This retails for $30.50.

NIOXIN - Diamax Treatment. I have actually read great reviews on this product but never bought it because it sells for $50.00. They included this in the box FULL SIZE!! I am so excited to try this. It is a hair treatment that is supposed to make your hair look fuller while treating and strengthening the hair shaft.

Last is OCEANE - Makeup Remover Pen. The tip of the pen contains an odorless makeup remover. It is meant to be used for stubborn makeup that can't come off or if you do mess up that cateye you can swipe and remove it and start again without ruining the rest of your makeup. This retails for $5.30.

When I first signed up I received a coupon code to pay only $17.50 for the monthly subscriptions. The actual price of the box is $21.00.

The total box retails for $107.15. I hope I did the math right for the perfume. But I would say this is a great deal paying $17.50 for $107.15 with one of the products being $50.

I am extremely happy =)  with my box and can't wait to see what is in the October box.

Curel Intensive Healing Cream

I am part of another BzzAgent Campaign and received my package of Curel Intensive Healing Cream a few days ago.




This isn't my review yet because I need to give it a few times to make my final assessment. But what I can say is that I do have some horrible dry skin. Especially with the cooler weather coming in my skin tends to flake up. It's not nice. The cream is very rich so we shall see how it holds up. I'll come back and keep you posted! Talk to you soon! Kashi Hummus Crisps

I know it has been awhile but I am a BZZAgent and I received a complimentary bag of Kashi Hummus Crisps in "Sea Salt and Olive Oil" to BZZ about.



Ok, what do I think? Well first of all I am a huge fan of Kashi. I have been purchasing their products since they first launched. Now I  do love chips but I hate salt. Anything salty and nope won't try it again. So I definitely was a little apprehensive to try these crisps because the name does have sea salt in them.

Guess what???.....I love them!!! They are so good and have such a great taste to them without being salty. I gave them to my boyfriend and bought a few bags to a birthday party and everyone loved them. Even my niece likes them.

So I do give this products two thumbs up!!

I have a few more campaigns that I signed up for so I'll keep you posted on those. T

The fall is here and my favorite part of the fall is FOOTBALL baby!!

July Wantable Beauty Box Review

Hello there Lovely's!!!

Today I received my first beauty box from Wantable. It is there July box and I was sooooo excited when I saw the package in my mail box. I have been looking around for beauty subscription boxes to sign up for that were the most beneficial to me.

Now there are tons and tons of them out there and I was instantly drawn to Wantable. The fact being that one: they send full size products, not samples and two: you get products that are from all over the world. I thought that was cool because I love to try new products that are not popular in USA. Lastly, these are high end products and if you bought each one individually they would not be cheap.

The one kicker of Wantable is that it is also not the cheapest of subscription boxes. If you want to purchase one box only it would be $40 and if you want to take part of the monthly subscription it would be $36. I lucked out somehow on my first box purchase and received a 20% of coupon for my first month so it came out to be $28.80 with shipping included. Woohoo!!! Can't complain about that!

This is what the box looked like that the products came in.

When you open it up each product is individually wrapped and you received a little card from Wantable thanking you for your purchase and tells you what the Month of July is all about. They also tell you if you do not like this months box you can return it for a full refund and shipping is free.

I however love my box and will be keeping it. I received 5 full size beauty products and as a bonus they threw in a sample.

I'm going to list and show each product in no particular order. This one here is a Haute Couleur High Coverage Lip Lacquer in Nude Addiction from Lise Watier. It retails for $22.00. It is made in Italy but is a very popular product in Canada. I LOVE it. The color is exactly what the name says Nude. I have been wearing it for about an hour and it is staying put but in a very moisturizing way.

How awesome is this!!! It has an LED light and a mirror so that you can always have perfect lips regardless of where you are, even in the dark.

The next product we have is a highlighting mineral powder in Champagne in the Bubble Bath by Swagger Cosmetics that retails for $14.50. It is an awesome highlighter and I'm addicted to highlighters. My only issue with this product is that there is no name on it to indicate the brand or what it is. Just there symbol. I had to look at the invoice to find out what it was and who made it.

I just googled Swagger cosmetics and I found out that it is a mineral makeup company out of San Francisco that is completely vegan. They are also free of fillers and irritating ingredients. Ok so far I am a big fan. They just need to label there makeup so the world knows who they are!!!

My next beauty product is by 29 Cosmetics and it is their D'Vine Grape Seed Age Protecting Conditioning Mascara. It is made in Italy but is an American brand that retails for $26.00. It is filled will tons of anti-oxidants including grape seed extract.

I'm really happy I received mascara because I am really low on my mascara and was about to go out and by some. But now I don't. = ) Also, I am already wearing mascara so I haven't tried it out yet. But it does smell good. Which is weird to say because usually mascara does not smell good at all or smells weird. Here I can smell fruit. The color is in dark brown which is ok because I'll be using it for my day looks not my night time looks.

The next product is a soft eyeliner in brown by Lavera which retails for $15.20. Lavera is gluten free and cruelty free makeup out of Germany and was awarded #1 in Europe for safe cosmetics. To be honest I have never heard of this company and am elated that I got this. After looking into Lavera and their other products I will definitely be purchasing some more products.

Ok we're getting there. The last full size product that I received from Wantable is a nail polish by Michael Marcus in the color "Can Can Girl." It retails for $15.50 yikes. But I don't have any nail polish on and applied one coat and it is very very opaque. This is great because I probably just need one nail coat and a top coat and will have a marvelous manicure that lasts.

Michael Marcus's polishes are high end that are free of formaldehyde, toulene, and DBP. Can Can Girl is a bright pink color that is perfect for the summer. Plus it is a cool looking bottle. ; )

That was the end of my full size products. = ( But yay they threw in a freebie. = 0 ) It is a Bronze Beauty Self Tanning Lotion by Manna Kadar. Never heard of this brand but it does smell good for a self tanner. I never wear self tanner's but I will give this a try on my legs and see how it goes. On their website a full size 4oz. bottle of this self tanner sells for $35. Wow!

Doing the math my Wantable box retailed for $92.70 and I only paid $28.80 for this luxurious makeup. Not including the sample. But if 4 oz. costs $35 then my 1 oz. costs $8.75 which brings the box total up to $101.45. Now that's what I call a bargain!!!

I want to say that my favorite product is the Lise Watier Lip Lacquer. The color is so natural that I definitely will be wearing everyday. But I do hope I get more Lavera products in my upcoming boxes. Which is to say I will absolutely be keeping my Wantable subscription.

There is one more subscription service I signed up for and it's called Ipsy. You get a makeup bag with full and luxury sample size products for $10/month. But I'm on the waiting list. Ugh!! So once I get my first package I'll post up my review on that as well as my next Wantable box.

Hello everyone!!

A few days ago I joined an awesome new website called BzzAgent.com. Basically you join and then take a bunch of survey's. Based on what your answers were in the survey they will invite you into a campaign and try out a certain product for free. You just need to try it out and then share it publicly online.

So I did get invited to my very first survey. =) Super excited!! It is for the product Prevacid24HR. I do suffer from some frequent heartburn =( so we shall see if this product works. I am just waiting for it to get to my door and then I'll start trying it out.

Juicing That Is Tasty And Healthy!

Juicing is an easy and quick way to get large amount of healthy nutrients and enzymes into your diet. If you are already a juicer or just a beginner, you will find in this article some tips and techniques to make juicing easier and more beneficial to your life.

Buy a masticating juicer. Due to the extraction method, fewer nutrients are destroyed during the juicing process. The juice generated using this process is more durable for storage. Add cucumber to dark leafy greens. Dark greens can be bitter if used alone in your juice. Cucumber is great at masking the strong taste, while making your drink taste more refreshing.

Use unpeeled cucumber for essential nutrients. Savor your juice, and drink slowly. Enjoy the taste of your beverage, and appreciate each of its flavors. Give your saliva the chance to mix into the juice, and begin the digestion process. Go by color in choosing fruits and vegetables to juice. A bright red apple, for instance, is going to have far different nutrients than a green stalk of broccoli.

These differences give you a fuller nutritious experience, as well as a wide range of tastes. One way to get kids to eat the vegetables that they avoid is by juicing them. There are lots of kids who aren't crazy about vegetables. You can make a great tasting vegetable and fruit juice, and the kids won't know they're eating vegetables.

While all fresh juices will sometimes contain pulp, you can decrease the amount of pulp in your fresh juice by using a coffee filter. Some juices produce a large amount of pulp that you may not enjoy. Try pouring the juice through a cheesecloth or a coffee filter. This should remove the majority of the pulp. Keeping juice in the refrigerator can be handy, but the juice may turn color. People are naturally going to assume that brown juice is bad.

 Lemon juice acts as a natural preservative, keeping your juice a bright and inviting color. This amount of lemon juice will keep the juice mixture looking fresh and colorful without overpowering the taste. Choose a juicer which is simple to take apart and clean. Some juicers take over 25 minutes to assemble, disassemble, and clean. Add the time it takes to juice, and you may just want to go buy juice instead.

Make sure to clean your juicer soon after you've finished with it, as pulp can stick to your juicer and harden, making cleaning more difficult. There are things called "phytochemicals" in certain fruit and vegetables juices that can get rid of cancer-causing chemicals! Incorporate as many of these foods as you can into your juice recipes.

Cranberries are best combined with vegetables and fruits that have more sweetness because of their slightly bitter taste. Any sweet fruit will do, or even a sweet vegetable like a carrot. You can try watermelon, cantaloupe, strawberries, and many other different options to sweeten your juice. Create your own signature recipe to suit your taste.

Juicing can be a wonderful way of giving your body the nutrients and vitamins it needs to maintain good health. Not only does juicing provide you with energy, but it can help give you the drive to exercise and gain muscle. Use fruits and vegetables in addition to your intense workout, so that your muscles are efficiently built and can recover properly. Drink your juice right away after you have just blended it. Place your juice in the fridge for a few minutes if you need to cool it down, but don't store it for too long.

In terms of juicing, remember that different juices may change the appearance of the teeth. Many juices contain ingredients that can leave your teeth stained or can even increase tooth decay. Vibrantly colored juices, such as beet juice or carrot juice, will surely cause this problem. If your teeth stain easily after drinking these, try brushing after drinking them.

Constipation can easily be treated with juicing. To relieve constipation make juice with grapes, cabbage, lettuce, parsnips, and papayas. Juicing every day with these ingredients will help keep you regular. Green juices are jammed packed with vitamins and minerals. There is some misinformation out there about the taste of the green juices though. This is not necessarily a reality. Actually, you can improve the flavor of almost any juice by adding in other healthy ingredients. For instance, to make the juice a little sour, add limes; to make it taste sweeter, add apples.

Don't go crazy mixing lots of different fruits and vegetables when juicing. You do not need multiple types of vegetables in order to create a healthful juice. You should choose two or three good vegetables, and use an apple to provide necessary sweetness. You can make fruit juice the same way. By sticking to a few choice fruits and vegetables, you will enhance the flavor, and you will more likely to stick to your juicing program.

It can be an easy and quick way to add fresh taste and nutrition to your diet. The juicing tactics you've just read will improve your skills quickly in order to create healthy, yet tasty, juices that you want.

I have a new favorite website called FitnessBlender.com. Quite simply it is one of the best workout sites I have come across. The best part is that it is free. You don't even need to sign up, you can just start watching the videos and doing them instantly.

I just did this 33 minute total body workout and my oh my did it really kick my butt!

Stott Pilates Chair

Hello! One of my favorite exercises is pilates. I feel like it really tones and sculpts my body amazing without adding any bulk.

I love going to pilates studios but I'm not going to lie, it is a lot of money. So I created lense about getting a Stott Pilates Chair.

I learned how to sew by my grandmother growing up. I would sew easy projects like pajamas or blankets. As I got older I expanded into harder projects. She always used a Singer sewing machine and gave me one of her old ones when she upgraded to a new one.

Lately, I have been on a role making and eating brown rice. I just love it and nutritionally it's so good for me. The only problem with brown rice is how long it takes to cook. I created a new lense about an Aroma ARC-914SBD Brown Rice Cooker.
 
Yes, you can still make white rice in it, but it comes with a special button specifically for brown rice. How great is that?! It also doubles as a steamer. So while your brown rice is cooking you can also steam your seafood or meat and veggies.
